We live in Plano and the drive to the clubs in Dallas proper can be rough on a Saturday night (and the drive back is worse). Are there any good house parties or meetup groups up in the Collin County area? We've heard rumors but can't find anything concrete.

There are definitely house parties happening in the Plano/Frisco/Allen corridor. The best way to find them is through lifestyle apps — several local couples host monthly or bi-monthly parties at their homes and post them as private events. You usually need to be vetted first, which means meeting the hosts at a public meet-and-greet or having mutual friends vouch for you. The quality of house parties up here is honestly great — big houses, pools, hot tubs, and a more intimate vibe than the clubs. Just don't expect to find them on Google.

We host in McKinney and I can tell you the suburban party scene is alive and well. Most hosts are very private about advertising, so the best path in is going to PlayhouseDFW events first and networking from there. Once you're known in the community, the invites start coming. Friday and Saturday are equally popular up here since most of us are couples with day jobs and don't want to drive downtown.
Check the DFW lifestyle groups on social media too. There are a few private groups specifically for North Dallas suburbs. A couple in Allen throws an amazing pool party every month during the summer — probably 30-40 people — but you need a referral from an existing member.
